Expert tips
- Make sure to use fresh lemon juice!
- Why not make a 2-in-1 dip and add my homemade veggie dip to your party menu. You can double the recipe and use some of that dip as a base for this smoked salmon appetizer! Saves you time and you will end up with 2 different party foods. By the way, both are ready in minutes!
- We like using fresh herbs and that is what we recommend. But they are not available at all times. And that is when dried herbs come in. You might lose a bit of flavor there (depending on their quality) but they are still doing a decent job.
- Smoked salmon is salty enough so there is no need to use any salt at all. However, you can add some if you like.

- Herbs – If you can, use fresh herbs. But, you only need a little amount for this dip so you can easily substitute it with dried herbs. Just make sure they are not too old. You don’t want to lose any flavor.
