Instructions
In a small bowl, combine mayo and mustard. Spread a thin layer over each slice of bread.
When done, top 6 slices with ham (see note 3), cheese and cover with the remaining bread slices. Trim off the crust and cut each sandwich in half.
Cut each rectangle into a coffin shape. Out of the last cheese slice, cut thin strips and arrange them on top of each “coffin” in a cross shape.
Keep in the fridge covered before serving.
Notes
This quantity of mayo sauce should be plenty for 12-16 pieces.
Use any mustard you have on hand.
Crustless bread is a great option – it will save you some time when prepping!
Any deli ham will work here. Or, it can be substituted with salami. Use either 1 thick or 2 thin slices per sandwich.
